Just eight miles south of Portland, Crescent Beach unfurls its mile-long crescent-shaped sliver of sand. Swim, surf, kayak, or enjoy a picnic and an ocean breeze at one of the many picnic tables with grills.
More than just a beach, the park also includes wooded areas, grassy dunes, and rock ledges, all of which are ripe for exploration. Once you’ve collected your fair share of sea shells, you can shower off at the bathhouse and pick up a bite to eat at the snack bar.
Travel Tips
Off-season travelers can still enjoy strolls along the beach, or, in the winter, cross-country skiing.
